Sukker is a small store located at Bakklandet in Trondheim, Norway. Here you can buy unique and handmade clothes, accessories, small interiordesign, and much more from a handful of different local designers. In 2015 it was their 10 year anniversery, and by celebrating this they also launched their new profile – classic with a twist.

The project was to make at least two giftboxes with different sizes. It was important that it was something that could work with their new profile, that it was playful but still classic.

Since there is so many different designers I felt it was important to have the opportunity to also give that special designer some credit when you buy their design. That is why I made a place inside the box where they could put the particular designers businesscard. The box has no glue edges, can be stored flat and can easily be put together.

"Sukker" actually means "sugar", and that is why I found the inspiration to the pattern from pictures of sugarcrystals. But since the pattern is so explosive and dramatic, it was important to not let it take over the whole box and still make it look classy.
